Biography »
Michaela grew up in a small town called
Helsingborg. Her first work was at a ski resort far up in the north of
Sweden. After that she moved to Stockholm to study at the teachers
academy, after school she worked as a teacher at a music school. Her
life changed completely when she sent a photo of her self to a
"Look alike competition". She won a costume ball as Marilyn
Monroe and after that day nothing was like it used to be. |

She still worked as teacher for another one and a half year after the
competition
After that Michaela took some time of from the
teaching profession and went to Los Angeles. For eighteen months she
alternated with theatre lessons at Lee Strausbergs School of drama and
various model jobs. One day she got a phone call from Alexander Bard who
asked if she wanted to join the Army of lovers. When Alexander called he
told Michaela that it could be some tough times because of a big media
fight. Camilla Thulin, Army of lover’s stylist and a friend of Michaela
recommended Michaela to join the group. All of a sudden Michaela de la
Cour was a famous pop star. Red carpet, glittering and mingle parties,
champagne and limousines became everyday food for the Cinderella.
The new Army of lovers was out on a promotion tour
round in Europe where Michaela were being welcomed with open arms and
positive reactions. Michaela was brought up in USA and became the front
figure for the group and in South America people went wild and called
"Evita, Evita..."
In the beginning, it was
great fun. But after a while it felt like everything turned to be a playschool and the artistic level sank rapidly. The members of the group
had different opinions on where to go from here,
and finally Michaela decided to quit because she was bored and had some
more interesting options.

She resumed the teaching post in order to get
some brain stimuli and mentally energy and she continues to feel the
pupil’s love and warmth.
During this period she also started her own
projects such as a calendar containing a mixture of daring and sensual
pictures of her self. After the calendar Michaela got a great deal of
attention and participated in several TV shows one thing resulted in
another Michaela travelled with Miss Sweden as a compeer and performed.
After that she had part in a TV-serie "Sjukan", on stage she
acted in "Sunshine boys" with the veterans, Hasse Alfredfsson
and Gunnar Hellström (director of "Gun smoke")
Now Michaela de la Cour commits herself to her own designed jewelleries.
The Michaela de la Cour collection is for sale at retail dealers in Sweden an around Europe
and is designed in her own studio in Stockholm.
Famous celebrities like e.g. Madonna or Britney Spears are faithful customers of Michaela
